Mark was born into a long family line of involvement in horse racing.

Mark initially schooled and graduated in Business and Engineering, but it was not long until he made the decision to follow his core passion and drive.

Mark gained his experience firstly by completing a racehorse trainer and track rider’s course, initially working in the stables for Joan Pracey and later, Hall of Fame Trainer – Ron Quinton.

It was here where he obtained the core knowledge required to identify quality prospects and the systems required to nurture and produce quality top line racehorses.

Mark originally raced horses for profit personally. In the beginning it was not all smooth sailing. In 2002 Mark acquired a prospect which he paid $50,000 which went on to make over $700,000. A few purchases later, he bought a colt for $350,000 which returned $37,000.

Over the next 15 years Mark smoothed his craft to gain consistency in results

Mark has an exceptional eye for a thoroughbred and and has been a scholar of Racehorse family lines and pedigree for well over 20 years.
