Regal Rossa Wins On Debut at Geelong

Regal Rossa, a 4 year old mare made her glorious debut at Geelong today for her patient owners. A daughter of the amazing Testa Rossa, she has shown exemplary ability prior to suffering some significant setbacks such as a fractured fibula which threatened to end her career before it had even started.

Thanks to the patience and specialised treatment plan administered by the Cumani Racing team, this promising mare was nursed back to full health.

The elements were not kind with track being rated a heavy 9.

However, Regal Rossa was not going to let the team down. On the turn, Regal Rossa was last. Fred Kersley carefully pulled her out 4 wide, she circled the field and finished of with a paralysing burst to hit the front and win – rewarding her patient connections.

She has plenty of upside to come and will appreciate the step up in distance.
