Racehorse ownership carries risk
Owning a share in a racehorse is a sporting and recreational pursuit. It should not be treated as a way to make money.
- Most racehorses do not earn enough prizemoney to cover their costs. You should expect to pay ongoing training and upkeep costs and may not recover what you paid for your share.
- A horse can be injured, become unsound, fail to race, or die. Insurance, where taken out, may not cover every loss.
- Race results, wins and sale prices shown on this website describe past events. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results.
- Costs, share prices and arrangements for each horse are set out in its PDS, which takes precedence over anything on this website.
Accuracy of information
We take care to keep this website accurate and up to date, but we can't guarantee that everything on it is complete, current or free of errors.
- Race details such as upcoming runs, barriers, jockeys and jump times come partly from third-party racing data and can change at short notice. Always check the official race fields before relying on them.
- Horse descriptions, pedigrees and assessments reflect our honest opinion at the time of writing. They are not a promise of how a horse will perform.
- Race reports describe past events as we saw them on the day.
